I am a high school student and I had to read this book for a research project. I liked this book because it covers all areas that I was mainly looking for and it also changed and gave me a better perspective about the Vikings. Although, I do not like reading books about history I actually found this book to be very interesting, especially the Viking lifestyle. I had never read a book about Vikings before, and I thought it was a great first book about Vikings to begin with. However, I found many sections of the book very boring because I did have a hard time trying to understand many vocabulary words. What I found very interesting were the illustrations because it gave me a better understanding of where they were located or where they would travel too. Also, after a while I found it very boring reading just historical facts that went on and on and I would get lost and had to go back and reread them. The last section of this book was the one I found most boring because I did get lost many tmes and it would confuse me. For most of the time I spent reading this book I enjoyed most of it because I did find myself really interested in most of the sections. I would recommend this book for a research project because it covers most of the parts that are needed. However, I would also recommend this book to people who just want to learn about the Vikings because it does give a different perspective of the way they lived and who they were. Although, it is not a book that can be easily comprehended.
