More than just a collection of pretty girls, you get the history of the art and the aircraft. The best artwork from the best artists shows you why this is a classic American art form. Buy It!

This is a beautiful book which depicts a wide variety of nose art from the Second World War. Photos are both in color and black and white and cover fighters and bombers. Would make a great gift for a WWII aviation buff.

Phenomenal book for the ages. Valant does an incredible job preserving the rich history of WWII nose art, and whenever possible, he also lists the corresponding Bomb Groups and Squadrons that accompany the photographs. THIS IS A COLLECTION OF PHOTOGRAPHS OF THE ACTUAL BOMBERS, not a lot of written material on the history of WWII pinups (get the 'GREAT AMERICAN PIN-UP' FOR THAT). This is a great collection for the collector as well as the casual fan of the subject, and it also has some pictures of the old A-2 Leather Flight Jackets with the pin-up art painted on them as well. Easily worth the money. Get it before it goes out of print.
