Excellent read...I've been interested in electronic music and synthesizers for a long time, have several other books on the subject, was really looking forward to purchasing this title after reading many reviews. It seems some folks always find fault with something that a lot of work was put into...I agree that some things do need more work, but this book has everything I need. I have a Casio CZ 5000, will be collecting many more!

This is the best book I've ever seen on the subject of vintage synthesizers. It has a pricing and buying guide for gear. A ton of photos and critical insight on most synths. I use this book a few times a month. The historical aspect is the best I've seen in one place. After reading this, you'll know just about everything you'd ever want to know about synthesizers. The current release of the book added more information on drum machines and a few other key pieces of gear needed if you're into electronic composition. And the pricing guide has been updated to reflect today's market for the second-hand synth.
