Violence prevention in an inclusive setting
This paper deals with measures to prevent violence in inclusive school settings and an analysis of the concept of "new authority" according to Haim Omer. It provides an insight into the everyday school life of teachers working in inclusive settings, which is often characterized by difficult situations and challenging students. In these situations, teachers often feel overwhelmed, left alone and inadequately trained. The use of violence prevention and intervention concepts is difficult because pupils with disabilities are usually too individual. The concept of "New Authority" according to Haim Omer pursues the goal of appreciative, respectful and supportive interaction with one another. The fact that the concept can be used not only as a whole, but also extremely flexibly, means that parts of the "New Authority" concept according to Haim Omer can also be used in classes with an inclusive setting without any problems, thus enabling non-violent learning in schools.
