Editorial Reviews

Children's Literature - Jody Little
Young baseball fans will enjoy this book in the series, "From the Locker Room to the Press Box," in which they will take an inside look at what happens in and around a pro baseball game. The author takes the reader on a journey in which they travel with the baseball players on the team bus and spend time with them in the locker room, the club house and the bullpen. A backstage look at the work done by coaches, grounds crews, umpires and journalists will show readers just how many hours of work is involved in one baseball game. The high-interest, easy-to-read text is accompanied by colorful, captioned photos of famous players and teams. Sidebars include trivia such as interesting historical facts about baseball and strange pre-game rituals of certain players. Baseball vocabulary is highlighted and defined throughout the text. Book also contains table of contents, glossary, additional reading sources, Internet sites and index. Reviewer: Jody Little

Only 30 pages long. Little informational value. Don't make the same mistake I did when I purchased it.
