And that's exactly why women's fiction knows no limits," says author Robyn Carr. "I'm naturally drawn to strong, capable female characters, and when I begin a story I ask myself, 'What is she up against?' I try to write about issues that every woman faces at some point in her life, without ever losing sight of the basic sense of humor that helps us all through hard times."
The author of over twenty novels, Robyn reaches a wide audience with her writing. In addition to her touching novels, she's written historical romance, series romance and a gripping thriller. "This is the best job I'm ever going to get wearing my nightgown," she says of her writing career.
Originally from Minnesota, Robyn and her family have seen much of the country thanks to her husband, Jim, and his career in aviation. After the two high school sweethearts married, Jim joined the air force during the Vietnam War. They've lived in Texas — all four corners — Florida, California and Arizona.
The couple moved to Henderson, Nevada, so Jim could explore a new business opportunity. "At first, being a Great Plains girl at heart, I said, 'Oh, no, not another desert!' It didn't take me long to fall in love with the beauty of Nevada — and the unrivaled spectacle of nearby Las Vegas!"
Robyn well remembers how she began her career as an author over twenty-five years ago. "I was trained as a nurse, but found it impossible to get work because my husband was constantly being transferred. At the time I wasreading a lot ofgenre fiction for the escapist fantasies and I thought to myself, 'I can write this!'"
And how was her first foray into the world of literature received? "It was universally panned. I thought I had written Gone with the Wind, but in actuality it was complete trash." In fact, it was on her third effort that Robyn finally succeeded in her efforts to become a published author.
Now that Robyn's two children are grown — and finally out of the house — she has the luxury of a little free time. "Until my kids grew up, I didn't realize that a person could have hobbies other than laundry," she jokes. But it turned out not to be hobbies that keep Robyn busy when she isn't writing — she found her niche in community service. She has mentored a seniors memoir-writing group, attends book club chats in and out of state whenever possible and is working with her local library on fundraising and visiting author events that bring writers, their books and the community together. And, since the library is in her focus, she sits on the Library Board of Trustees for the city. "It is the people in my life that fills the well," she says. "Especially the people that share my love for books and writing."

This bundle comes as one long book. You can't go to individual books, or chapters, or pages. There are no page numbers, and no bar as to how much of the book you've read.
It is a terrible job of bundling, and I regret buying it. Whatever tech did the bundling should be fired, and I should get a credit for the money paid, since it's unreadable. I'm so mad, because I love the author and want to read the books.

I purchased #10 of this series first, enjoyed it so much I went baack and bought the other nine of the series. Delightful to read, writing style is so nice it keeps you wanting to read more. I even went back and bought the Grace Valley series, can't wait until more books come out. I have read all the books she currently has out and loved them all.

This is a great value. I'm not sure why the person who said you can't go from book to book or know which book your are in. It's easy! Robyn Carr does a great job with this series.

I had never read anything by this author and was pleasantly surprised when I starting ready the first of the four. I am finishing the fourth book in the series and have now starting purchasing the next book in the series. I'm looking forward to starting it. I have been laughing and crying in these four books and I'm sure that will continue in the rest.

I started w/ book 16, and enjoyed it so much, I looked up her other books, and found the beginning of the series in books 1-4 and I'm just finishing that and WILL go thru the entire series. Robyn is a great author, that you can pick up any book in the series and not be lost, but it is well worth reading the previous versions pulling them all together.
She has a good story line, keeps the story moving forward w/out much re-capturing the previous versions and the romance is just that, romance not just lusty sex.
I look forward to reading the rest of Robyn's books

This book or these books, were very good, I"m hooked I can not wait to read the rest of the series. I hope the rest of youenjoy Robin Carr as much as I do.

I love all of Robyn Carr's books. I have all 19 of the Virgin River book's on my Nook Color. I am on my 4th reading of the book's and I am having a hard time putting them down. I love reading about all off the character's. I also love how she keep's the story line going from one book to the next. Can't wait until the next book in the series.

Robyn Carr manages to include a large number of characters in each book, yet makes it possible to keep track of who is who. Some of the characters overlap from book to book, but new ones are introduced in each book. The kind of book you want to keep on reading to see what happens next. A wide variety of suspenseful situations are covered.

Love this series I just can't stop reading! Can't wait til payday to get book 6 and 7! Just a captivating story about the town and it continues with a new romance in each book!

Have you ever had a book make you laugh out loud and cry drenching tears? These will do it for you! The characters are well developed and you'll be sure that you want these people to knock on your door and come in for coffee! I'm getting close to retirement, and I want to live here and know these people! If you love adventure and romance and the kindness of your friends and neighbors, you will get lost in the imagery in this series! I have recently discovered Robyn Carr books and she has quickly become my favorite author! I will be filling my library with everything she has written!

I am the kind of person who has to get into the book within the first few pages or I won't read the entire thing. I read this entire book (all four of them) in less than a week. A typical book of 60 pages will take me two weeks on average. I could not put this book down. It keeps you wondering about the characters and what will happen next. The flow easily from one book to the other which was very nice and keeps you guessing as well. I really enjoy that all the characters are tyed into each of the books from the beginning.

I love this series, and would love to live in this fictional town. Life is wonderful there. When reading these books I relax and find a peaceful place.

Book # 7 was the first Virgin River series book I read. I enjoyed it but had questions that (of course) could be best answered by starting at the beginning of the series! This collection was a great bargain and such enjoyable reading!
