“This is possibly my favorite romance I've ever read from one of the best romance novelist of our times. Jennifer's work is passionate and well thought out. Fastpace, steamy, steamy, pages, excellent story.”

“I LOVED this book. It has all the parts: sizzling romance, great love
scenes, very erotic and the most memorable characters, even my favorite
characters. Shalyn is a perfect match for Seanessy, though they spend
all their time fighting each other, sparks literally shooting off the page.
She is trained in the Oriental arts (karate) and suffering from amnesia, she
is convinced people are trying to find and kill her. It takes her a while to
realize Seanessy is not her enemy and during that time, oh boy, I was
turning the pages. And it also has a lot of humor for a historical romance;
several places are lol funny. This is an excellent novel. Strong recommend.”

Summary: This story opens with our beautiful young heroine Shalyn knocked unconscious and stripped of her memory and her clothes and left on Captain Seanessy’s doorstep. Tall, devastatingly handsome, a man whose wit is just as menacing as his pistoles and fighting ability, Seanessy is intimately involved with British parliamentarian politics and running England’s most successful shipping enterprises. After one look at the comely and unconscious lass, he knows immediately one thing: here is trouble. Yet Shalyn becomes much more than just trouble. For the first time in his long life, he finds himself unable to resist the untried promise and sensuality in his slim package of rebellion, irritation, and a good deal of amusement. Suspense and intrigue mount as Seanessy and his men must discover the mystery surrounding the Shalyn’s treacherous past before it is too late. Someone is indeed trying to kill her! As the mystery becomes darker and darker still and the stakes keep rising, scene after scene explodes with desire and page turning excitement.
As these two fierce spirits ride the escalating suspense and battle an overwhelming passion, hot, sexy, (very!) erotic scenes that will keep you turning the pages until the guaranteed satisfying (extremely!) ending.

“The sexiest writing in romance!” Lisa Silver
“Jennifer Horsman is my all time favorite romance writer!”

This book has all the elements: sizzling romance, great love scenes, very erotic and the most memorable characters. Sparks literally shooting off the page. A page turner to boot--I COULD NOT PUT IT DOWN. It also has a lot of humor for a historical romance; several places are lol funny. This is an excellent novel. Strong recommend.

Meet the Author

I was born and raised in San Francisco, California. I moved south to finish my college degree at the University of California at Irvine. Here I fell instantly and madly in love with one of my professors, who I finally convinced to marry me. While most of my life force was sucked up by a steady stream of kids, dogs and cats, I managed to write a few books.

I currently live in Laguna Beach, California. Things I love: life, the ocean, good books, Ashtanga yoga, redwood forests, most people, all animals, long walks and stormy nights. In addition to historical romance novels, I write children's novels and non-fiction, plays and screenplays.

Now, about e-publishing: I am a voracious reader,(favorite authors: Toni Morrison, JM Coetzee, David Mitchell, Joyce Carol Oates and Margaret Atwood) and between my friends and I, we have sony readers, kindles, nooks, and quite a few Ipads. Ebooks are an amazing development in the ancient art of reading and writing. I wanted to be a part of it. Fortunately, historical romances never go out of date or fashion.

I am currently working on a novel The Weight of God.
