Overview

Are you ready to move to the edge? The cutting edge of culture is a place where many claim to be but few can call home. There is a group of people who must not only decide to call it home but start sharpening the edge on which they find themselves. These daring and fearless cultural agents of change are those who call themselves Christians. Usually the terms "Christian" and "cutting edge" are not synonymous, but the call of Christ has always been for the church to be the molder of culture. In a wild roller coaster ride of an adventure, Jeff Dixon is your guide as you move from the streets of New York, through the theme parks of Orlando, into a bakery in Paris, into outer space, and back to a quiet hillside where Jesus is teaching His closest friends. The lessons are practical, insightful, and essential for the church to become the visible, vibrant, and vital shapers of the culture today.

    I want to hear more!

Visible, Vibrant, and Vital opened my eyes to looking at my faith in new and exciting ways. If you are a searcher who is looking to understand what a Jesus follower is supposed to be...then this is your book. I urge you to read it right away. Jeff illustrates this book with some powerful stories that create strong visual images that bring the truth to life in ways that helped me so much. The inneractives at the end of each chapter also sparked hours of additional reading and study. If you want your life to change, this book is a great place to start. I also found the author, Jeff Dixon on-line each week as he teaches on audio and video. Some of the things I discovered in the book have come to be even more meaningful now that I have heard him speak. A google search got me to the website.

    Someone finally said it!

These can be confusing times. I listen to and watch the news and see that people are divided on many issues and the world is shifting all the time. I am a Christian who thinks that faith should be something that makes the world better. Most of the 'big name' authors have a lot to say and huge audiences but at the end of the day aren't saying much that is too deep, new, or insightful. Then along comes Jeff Dixon with a book that finally says what I have been hoping someone would say. He taps into what makes the culture tick and what the church must do if we are going to be the people that make a real difference in the world. Beyond catch phrases, popularity, and fads this book picks at what Jesus really was saying when he spoke of being salt and light. It is well written, loaded with humor, and stories that entertain and educate. Since reading the book I have discovered that Jeff Dixon can be seen each week for free teaching on the internet and I have found that there is hope for the church and there is a voice that needs to be heard. You will not be disappointed and you need to read Visible, Vibrant, and Vital today!

    Move over Warren and Osteen

Now we are getting to the real important stuff! We have read about having the life we always wanted with purpose included but now we have the chance to get back to the basics and found out what life is really all about! Visible, Vibrant, and Vital has caused me to explore my faith in ways that I have not for many years. It is written so that real people find out that their faith does work in the world and they can become the person they were created to be. The author has hit the nail on the head and I look forward to reading more...where is the sequel to this book...and how soon will it be released?!? Make this book one for the top of your 'must read list'

    Keep On!

YES! Here it is. THE book to help Christians understand and see the importance of being culturally relevant. The author has a firm grasp on the ministry of the church. He has clearly expressed understanding of what it means to 'follow' and be 'called' And he tells his reader that they can change the world. If you only read one book about being the person Jesus calls you to be then this is THE book that you must read. It is my hope that the author gives us a follow up to this edition very soon. I can't encourage the reader enough to pick up this book. You will not be disappointed!

    About Time!

Fantastic! Finally a book about church and the people of God that is not the same old recycled 'junk!' If you are tired of hearing about the latest in Christian trends and are tired of the same old voices saying the same old thing then this is the book for you. Dixon is on the mark as he breaks down what faith should look like in the culture. He explains the Bible in a clear way and gives the reader real world application of his principles.

    Whew

Finally! It is great to read a voice and a plan for the church that is honest and packed with hope! The author is on the right track as he clearly reads the pulse of the culture and how the church must wisely work within it to be effective. I found the writing inspiring on a personal level and I think this would be very helpful to leaders as well.

    Refreshing

This book restores hope for the church in America today. Jeff Dixon provides a clear and practical voice of what it means to really make a difference and know what your real purpose is. Visible, Vibrant, and Vital is a breath of fresh air in a stuffy and stagnant Christian reading marketplace!

    Breakthrough!!!

This is THE book that must be read if people are ever going to understand what the church must be in the culture today. Before you can have purpose, before you can be relevant, and before you can even correctly use any of those over used 'church phrases' this book must be read and understood. Jeff Dixon is the new voice for the church in America to listen to. If the church is ever really going to be what it is supposed to be then this is the place to start. Visible, Vibrant, and Vital is an easy and enjoyable read. It is well illustrated with practical and insightful application. The style is thought provoking and the pace is fast. You will make this book one you will look back at and study time and time again.
