This book is a wonderful reference for anyone beginner or professional. It is at a very cheap price also. You won't find another VB 6 book with this much information for this kind of price. A must have!

At the price I paid for the book, I didn't expect a CD as well, BUT, if you go to the Sybex website and enter the last group of four digits from the ISBN number, there is all the code for you to download, PLUs an errata file showing small errors in the book. This book is definately worth getting. It is a great references. It shows you thousands of functions that you can use in your application or game. it even shows you how to use the bitblt api function. And, the great part of it, all the source code is online so just go to the sybex web site and download and learn the fast and easy way. This book is not for learning Visual Basic. It is kind a Visual Basic book to learn to program in visual basic 6 but I consider it more of a reference. this was my third book on visual basic 6. It took me that many books to actually learn Visual Basics 6 but I am pretty good now. This book definately help me and I would recommend this to all Visual Basics 6 developers.

This is really the most complete tutorial of Visual Basic I've ever read. It just doesn't show you how but explains it too! I'd like to see a book like this for VC++!!
