Excellent reference guide providing the benefits of all the vitamins, herbs, minerals, and supplements covered. It also provides reasons to use them, interactions, etc. The thing that I really appreciate is the benefits listed for each item covered in the book. I have a 1986 printing and a copy of the Revised Edition printed in the year 2000. Things that were listed as speculated benefits in the 1986 version are now listed under proven benefits in most, if not all items covered. I consider it to be the best reference guide on the market. I thought enough of the publication to give Revised edition copies (purchased at Barnes and Noble) of it as gifts to all my close friends and family.
