Meet the Author

Associate Professor of Speech Pathology at Marquette University. Dr. Linville has published extensively and has made numerous presentations on the topic of vocal aging. Her area of emphasis has been the acoustic characteristics of aged voice. Articles by Dr. Linville have appeared regularly in such scholarly publications as the Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research, Journal of the Acoustical Society of America, Journal of Voice, Current Opinion in Otolaryngology & Head and Neck Surgery, Journal of Gerontology, and Folia Phoniatrica et Logopaedica. Recently, she contributed a chapter to Voice Quality Measurement (R.D. Kent and M.J. Ball, Editors). She has served as editorial consultant to the Journal of Speech, Language, and Hearing Research and as guest reviewer for the Journal of Gerontology and the Journal of Aging and Physical Activity.
