    Wow, great reference and wonderful patterns

    I haven't found another book easier to understand. The instructions are clear. The reference guide in the front and the patterns in the back make it almost two great books in one.

    Knitters Must-Have

    I first saw this book at an inn in Vermont. As a new knitter, I had many questions. After I bought this book it answered all my questions and many more. Now I don't have to pester my friends and neighbors who knit, or, wait until I can get the answers. It's all in here.

    The Knitter's 'Bible'

    This book taught me how to make my first sweater (the earlier edition). I bought this edition to have the latest from Vogue. I tote the spiral bound version. Lovely patterns are included in the final pages of the book. So complete that it is a great reference book! You will be able to find anything you want to know about knitting in this volume. Also wonderful for designing your own patterns. This is a must-have for any knitter!

    The Holy Grail of Knitting

    This book is the ultimate compilation of everything there is to know about knitting. It is an indispensible reference for the beginner and for those of us who have been knitting for years. Sometimes knitting patterns give instructions assuming the reader has seen or done the technique previously. The Ultimate Knitting Book of Vogue Knitting reviews just about every technique and stich there is not only in written format, but most are illustrated as well. This book is a must for anyone who knits or wants to learn how. It is a true reference book, one that you will turn to again and again as a trusted addition to your home library.

    I definitely like my new Vogue Knitting The Ultimate Knitting Book!

    This is the first hardcover book I have ever ordered online, and I am not disappointed. I've been knitting at a class at our local library for about a year, and we can borrow knitting books there, but it is great having my own comprehensive reference book on hand at all times.

    Very good knitting reference

    Its a fabulous book! Its my go to reference for any knitting problem I have. It taught me basics like how to pick up a dropped stitch and more advanced techniques like cabling and lace. Clearly written, concise and comprehensive. I am not sure it would the perfect book to teach yourself from, but coupled with online tutorials or a friend who knits, I think its doable.
