    Very East Knits

    The above book was quite exciting to view and see the beautiful sweaters, shells or ponchos you could make. The only thing is finding the yarn since the original yarn used in the picture is no longer available. It does state a substitute but after viewing the picture you just wish they still had the same yarn of that particular photo. Very easy instructions, too. I would recommend this book to any knitter, still comtemplating making sweaters, it is very interesting and lots of new things to learn.

    Great if you like knitting stuff from 1988

    I ordered the book thinking that I was going to get some really great and stylish knitting patterns from Vogue. About half of the patterns in the book are from the 1980's. The pictures are even from the 1980's so all of the models have feathered hair and poofy bangs. It's very dated. Yes, they are pretty sweaters, but nobody wears that stuff anymore. The only sweater in the whole book I'll knit will be the one on the front cover, which is not representative of the other patterns in the book. So if you want to look like Molly Ringwald circa 1986, this book is for you. I'd visit your local yarn store and pick up some patterns there before getting this book.
