This is a good resourse for the home sewer. It covers how to choose styles to compliment your figure, how to take accurate measurements, how to assemple the garment with basic and advanced sewing techniques, and how to achieve a perfect fit. All manner of seams, button holes, hems, finishings, etc. are described in detail.

This is a good reference for both the beginner and the more experienced seemstress. Everything from altering a pattern to the final fitting of a garment is presented in clear language, with helpful illustrations. I highly recomend it to anyone who is serious about dressmaking.
