    Doesn't follow his own advice

    The main point of the book is the unoriginal advice to try to turn non-fiction into a narrative. But it is written like a textbook and begins with the author apologizing for not writing it like a story.

    Obviously history can be written like a story. The challenge is with other kinds of serious non-fiction (like a book on writing serious non-fiction). The author has some useful tips and includes some good examples, but ultimately fails to deliver.
