Voices from Assisi is the debut album from Franciscan friar Alessandro Brustenghi. Discovered when producer Mike Hedges (U2, Manic Street Preachers) was scouring Italy for a new tenor, Brustenghi inked a deal with Decca Records and then set about recording a collection of modern and traditional sacred songs at Abbey Road Studios. Having taken a vow of poverty, Brustenghi insisted that all profits from sales of the album are given to the Order of Friars Minor.
