Voices in St. Augustineby Jane R. Wood
Thirteen-year-old Joey Johnson has a problem. He hears voices. While exploring the historic district of St. Augustine, Florida, he overhears a conversation from the other side of a garden wall. Only be can't find the persons who belong to them. His curiosity to find these people leads him on a quest where he learns many things about "the nation's oldest city." But that's not all he discovers. Joey finds that he has a special connection to the past -- something that changes his life forever.
