The 1993 version of the Four Freshmen is backed by the Lew Anderson Big Band on this run-through of vintage songs. Fans of the original Four Freshmen will enjoy the music, although listeners who are into later eras of jazz and hipper vocal groups may find some of this a bit corny. The orchestra swings well, even if it is not too distinctive, mostly sticking to ensembles, although there are a few brief solos on an up-tempo version of "Embraceable You."
