Authors Sam D and Ray East have created a wonderful story when they wrote Voluspa: A Magical World. The world of Voluspa is an interesting place with a truly unique back story. Authors Sam D and Ray East have built the world of Voluspa with all the elements needed to make it into a believable place. Voluspa is a world filled with history, its own religion, specific social orders, and cultural norms. The characters of Voluspa: A Magical World are well-developed, every scene is well described and very vivid. I found the different POV's interesting because it gave you a more complete sense of the story. There is a major cliffhanger at the end, so be prepared. I am hoping to see authors Sam D and Ray East continue the series as there was so much left when Voluspa: A Magical World ended

underlying romance is just so hard to ignore. The story grabs you from
the first few pages as it describes the beginning of the war and then
ventures into our world....only to go back into theirs. For a book meant
for the younger (middle school) readers, I personally had no problem
enjoying this book. The characters were well written. Amy, the 15 year
heroine, is my favorite. I think she would be the one most could relate
to, awkward, lonely, and just looking for their place in the world. I
LOVED and I MEAN LOVED all the different types of creatures that were
involved in this book. This book is full of magic and the imagination
never fails! Truly if your looking for a book that hold adventure and
action...READ THIS! It should be a movie.
I received this book from the author.
This book has a very interesting plot as well as intriguing and complex characters. The first chapter is not as fun as the rest of the book but it is important and contributes a lot to the plot line further into the book. The majority of the story is entertaining and fun with a few darker moments here and there but I really enjoyed this book and am looking forward to the sequel.

Voluspa is a cross between Romeo & Juliet and the Animorphs book. Like Twilight, Voluspa brings us a love story between Amy and Drake, two characters from different worlds, who despite their environmental and physical differences find that they have much in common. The story also throws a twist that further complicates the relationship between Amy and Drake. Amy, believing herself to be an average human being soon discovers that there is a lot about her family history that she does not know. This book is sure to satisfy fans of romance/fantasy novels, with it's rich descriptions and great storytelling the reader will become as enveloped in the story as Amy becomes in her new surroundings.

In the recent explosion of the young adult supernatural romance genre, it is very difficult to find a novel that stands out and makes you take notice. However, 'Voluspa - A Magical World' meets this description and then some. Instead of sticking to stereotypical stories of vampires and werewolves, fairies and elves, Ray East and Sam D create a complex original world, blending fantasy and action sequences with a romance that any fan of the bestselling 'Twilight' novels is sure to enjoy. If you are looking for excitement and adventure, then look no further - Amy's odyssey through the world of Voluspa is exactly you've been waiting for.

I picked up the book as I was searching something for my 12 and 16 year olds. The book starts with a war scene and then pulls you in by the third chapter. My 12 year old started liking it right away because of the puppy love"..first love et al.The fantasy world is built nicely throughout the book. There is action throughout the book but it slows down a tad in the middle. The last few chapters are very fast paced. The book has attempted to bring The Golden Compass together with Twilight. For 99 cents, it was pretty good.
