Editorial Reviews

School Library Journal
Gr 4-6-- Another entry in a spate of books on the NASA mission that sent two space probes past all of the outer planets except Pluto. Verba describes the mission's course and discoveries clearly and simply, closing with a glance at future probes, a brief glossary and a reading list. The illustrations open on a strong note--six starry full-color photos that are the first pictures of planets taken from outside our solar system--but much of what follows is blurred, small, or just filler. A supplementary purchase, behind Harris and Weissman's Great Voyager Adventure (Messner, 1990) and Apfel's Voyager to the Planets (Clarion, 1991). --John Peters, New York Public Library
