A Story Beautifully Told--Entertaining and Well Written!!

I read Voyance in two sittings and thoroughly enjoyed the entire book. The storyline is brilliant with an amazing cast of characters that are both entertaining and thought provoking.

I loved the overall theme and "feel" of the setting...an old, time-worn school for young people who possess the ability to see into the future--all with the gorgeous back-drop of Florida's coastline. I found it fascinating to travel with the protagonist as she struggled to grow and mature during the last of her high school years so far away from home and everything that she knew and loved.

Voyance encompasses everything I love in a book: mystery, intrigue, teen-angst, love, friendships, mother-daughter dynamics, discovery, and a little bit of the evil in mankind. This story really has it all and I believe everyone can identify with at least one of the characters.

Overall, I thought this book was fabulous and would recommend it to fans of all genres. It simply has something for everyone! I hope this author continues to write, as I've become a fast-fan of her work.

    Young adult, universal appeal

If it's well-written, young adult fiction appeals beyond the teen market. When compared to other young adult fiction, Voyance stands out. The heroine is a strong character, of course, but she's believable: she isn't perfect, over-gifted, or so universally appealing that everyone immediately falls in love with her. She's real, and the reader - whether an adult or teenager - can easily identify with her.

The plot is solid, with enough twists and turns that I can't discuss it in detail, except to say that things aren't always what they seem. Right up until the end, the plot kept me guessing. I especially liked the symbolism of Mt. Rushmore (which you'll understand when you read it) and look forward to the next offering.

    Loved it, you will too.

Finally, a novel for young people with more than vampires on the brain. A nice story with great settings, and lots of room for more episodes. What a ride!

    A very enjoyable read

Finally, a Young Adult author with an actual plot! This book provided a realistic look into the fictional lives of extraordinary high school students. Unlike many of today's Y.A. novels that depict teenagers as arrogant and ill-mannered (the 'mean girl' persona), Voyance portrays its characters with real feelings and emotional maturity. The depth of this story kept me hooked until the end. Kudos to the author for giving teenagers a story they deserve. This novel is a refreshing rarity in today's Young Adult market.

I read through this book pretty quickly. I was captivated from page one. This is not your typical YA fiction read. I love the drama between Emma and her mother, as well as Alex and his father. The teenage/parent relationship is a great addition to most teen/YA novels and author Rhonda Brutt did a fine job of making it realistic in her novel. . . Voyance.
I was completely intrigued by Emma from the first and even came to like her roommate Kristen quite a bit. I think the characters are well-developed, the writing flows well and the book is full of enough suspense to keep it interesting. Overall a great read. I definitely recommend this book be added to your TBR pile - just don't leave it there too long!

    4 out of 5

Pretty good book. Interesting story. Easy read. 4 out of 5 stars due to the fact that it will be enjoyed more by someone younger than myself (I'm 37), however, I am curious to see where the next book goes.

    Great book

Purchased on a whim because the reviews seemed good. Good book overall. Not typically the type of novel I enjoy, but I thought I would give it a try. It definitely kept me interested. I'll be recommending it to my daughter and her friends.

    Exceptional Read-fast paced and exciting!!!!!

In the book "Voyance" the reader feels a connection to the characters and can identify with their experiences of young adulthood. As the story unfolds and the plot evolves the book takes the reader through intriguing happenings which result in a captivating escapade and journey. Once I started reading "Voyance" I had a difficult time putting it down until I finished as I couldn't wait to see what happened and how the story unfolded and concluded. I look forward to the next book and will be waiting in line to purchase it! Thanks Rhonda for writing such a charismatic and appealing book for young adults and adults alike!

    A Must Read!

After reading this book, I was ready to move to Florida and go to Voyance myself, that's how real this story felt to me! This author took the time to let her readers meet and really get to know the characters and I always like that in a book. I also saw a lot of myself, and even some of my friends, portrayed in their personalities. After falling into this fictional story, I just wanted to be a part of it, I didn't want to leave it or put this book down, it was fun to read and I loved the ending, which is always a plus. I can't wait to see what happens next.

    Highly recommended. Great story.

I always read anything that my daughter wants to read. I don't let her read something just because some of her friends liked it. I was surprised at how much I enjoyed the story. This is a good story with real and morally good characters. Emma is a great role model for young ladies. I hope this becomes a series.
