a second stunning disc from jubilant sykes

Jubilant Sykes' debut album, ''Jubilant'', set such a splendid level of performance, both by Sykes and his collaborators, that I greatly anticipated a subsequent appearance. I have not been disappointed. The artistic range of Sykes' singing is an unmitigated joy, as is the variety of the mateial he has chosen. But he is blessed with an arranger of impeccable taste, and musicians who execute the arrangements beautifully. A rare and joyous event, this second CD.
