All Music Guide - Andy Kellman
Moby's most unified and understated album, and all the better for it, Wait for Me is a morose set of elegantly bleary material, quite a shift from the hedonistic club tracks of Last Night. Dominated by instrumentals, "Shot in the Back of the Head" is the most evocative of the bunch, seemingly pulled from an unreleased David Lynch film scored by the Afghan Whigs circa Gentlemen -- a lament from a dustbowl, full of mournful slide guitar and dewy electric piano. Other than "Mistake" -- a glum neo-post-punk rave-up that, despite its cathartic release, remains downcast -- Moby leaves the vocals to a series of women neighborhood chums, apparently who each contribute to one song....

The smoky 3-a.m. gospel whispers from throwback soul singer Leela James on "Walk with Me" steal the show.

    Excellent Moby

If you loved Play, you will like Wait for Me. It is a continuous electronic symphony only like Moby can do. It is very peaceful and tranquil, and I play it in the background all of the time. It can be subtle yet powerful. Track 1 is a 21st Century track that makes me think of Barber's Adagio for Strings for a new generation.
A huge hit in my playlist!

    I Also Recommend:

    Moby , a great change

I bought this CD after listening to a review on a radio station. It has the soulfulness and haunting quality I like to cleanse my brain with once and a while. For those who like a variety of genre.

Listen to this all the time

I have both this an "Play" and iTunes will confirm that they are two of my most played albums. Listen to them a lot when in the air!

    Very Introspective Moby

I first heard this as a first listen on NPR's All Songs Considered.
It is very restful, and calm over all, a great disk to listen to over a romantic dinner, with someone special.
