All Music Guide - Dacia A. Blodgett-Williams
Singer/songwriter Maren Ord makes her debut on this album, but she might as well be an old-timer for all the buzz her debut generated in recording circles. Upon first listen, it's easy to understand why Ord was the hot topic among recording artists. She has a great pop voice that effortlessly flows from angst to sweetness. Her songwriting is solid, as are her skills on piano, keyboards, and acoustic guitar. The lyrics are deep without resorting to profanity or off-color innuendoes. In fact, "clean" describes the lyrics, which is ...

    Awesome Record, Without the Profanity

I have yet to hear all of Maren Ord's new cd, but I can tell that she is amazing. She is exactly what the music biz needs: Incredible talent, with morals. She stands up for what she beleives in, yet doesn't flaunt it. I am a member of the same church as hers, and find it very nice to be able to know that I can pick up this record and listen away without having to turn the volume down, or break it and search for an edited version. Hopefully many more people like Maren will make way in the music biz. Way to go Maren and keep up the good work!!!!
