The first time I met Paige, her reputation preceded her. She had previously worked with my son, Christopher, on her record album—she is a professional singer, he is a record producer, and they are both songwriters. During that time, Chris often talked with me about Paige and her amazing life story and near-death experience. Time and again he mentioned what an exceptional person she is. I was intrigued.
Soon after that my husband started coming home from rehearsals for a concert series for young people, with which he had some involvement, raving about a young woman they had hired to be the main speaker. She was a singer/songwriter who had an amazing life story to tell and a great message. It was, again, Paige.
So by the time Chris invited me to dinner to meet Paige, I knew who she was. We hit it off immediately and had much to talk about. Paige told me more about her story—which is remarkably compelling—and her vision for what she knew God was calling her to do. I asked if she had given any thought to writing a book about what God had done in her life; she told me she had already started writing it.
I requested that she send me anything of what she had written that was finished enough for me to read. The following week she gave me the table of contents and a few chapters. As I read them I was greatly impressed by what a good writer she is, and at such a young age. I couldn't wait to read the rest of the book.
Paige agreed to let me tell my publisher at Harvest House about her and when I did, they immediately asked that she send what she had written so far, along with a synopsis of the book. She showed me the package she had put together for them and I could not imagine that the people at Harvest House wouldn't be as pleased as I was. And they certainly were! Right away they wanted to meet with her, and not long afterward she had signed a contract with them.
During the following year, while she was finishing the book, my husband and I fell in love with Paige. So did our family and friends. So did our publishing company. And so did our son, Chris! He and Paige were married a few months ago and I have never seen him so happy. The day before their wedding I was struck with the fact that I had been praying for Christopher's wife from the time he was born. I prayed that God would guide and protect her and prepare her for all He had for her to do. I realized that I had been praying for her during the entire time she was fighting for her life—in the hospital and throughout her miraculous recovery. I found it very moving to know that I'd had that connection with her before I ever knew her.
We couldn't be more thrilled to have Paige as part of our family. We love her like a daughter and her wonderful family as our own. She is truly God's gift to us. The greatest thing about Paige is not how talented, gifted, and beautiful she is, but more importantly how godly, devoted, faithful, loving, gracious, sweet, fun, and funny she is. She is tiny, yet formidable, and she has the biggest heart for the Lord and for others. She deeply cares about the young people of her generation.
That's why I know this book will be of tremendous benefit to you as you read her powerful message. It will inspire you, energize you, help you to understand your value and purpose, and motivate you to become all that God created you to be. I believe this book will reach the hearts of young people all over the world and influence a generation for good.

I had hoped to find this book inspiring, and it was. Paige is a compelling author, mixing just the right amounts of story, statistic, fact, lesson, challenge…all into one complete and easy to read piece of work. She spends the first 30 some pages telling about her journey to where she is – she had cancer and treatment as a child. From there, Paige goes on to challenge you, the reader, to wake up, realize you have some amazing strengths and talents, and live your life to the fullest – for God. God is a huge part of this book, and it’s clearly centered around Him. Included in the chapters of this book are several “self-quizzes” to help you find your strengths and best ministry. At the end of many of the chapters is a little box titled “Action Challenge.” Each of these has questions that can’t be answered lightly – they’ll make you think in a good way. Also in almost every chapter are small boxes with quotes from a variety of sources/people. One that I found most interesting was this: “Don’t ask yourself what the world needs. Ask yourself what makes you come alive, and go and do that, because what the world needs is people who have come alive.” –Gil Bailie. Makes you think, doesn’t it. And that’s just one of many! Oh, I was also thrilled to come across pictures at the end…check those out as you read. I highly recommend that high-school students and people in the 20s especially make it a point to check this book out. Older people will enjoy it too, but the ones I mentioned first are the targeted audience, and the ones who will likely be most affected. Great book.

From the very first page, this book will draw you into Paige's story. Her enthusiasm for life and the Lord is just contagious! This book was written for the 20-something generation but any age can benefit from reading this inspiring book!
Paige first shares her testimony which had me in tears yet also laughing uncontrollably at some of her antics in the hospital. The apple juice/chocolate incident made me laugh harder than I can remember doing in a long time! It was a classic prank! That's was so great about this book. Paige certainly has gone through more than a lot of us at such a young age, yet her humor and love for the life God has given her just shines through!
There are so many inspiring quotes and beautiful Scriptures that she shares about really living our life fully. I also loved that at the end of each chapter she has questions that prompt you into getting into action in your life and helping you examine your life. These are really helpful. She also has a personality test to help you find your gifts so you know what gifts the Lord has given you. Do you have a gift for Discernment, Mercy or Teaching? This book will help you find your gifts and how you can use them for the Lord.
Paige also shares other inspiring stories that will have you amazed and (again) inspired. The whole book is just excellent, and as you can tell from my review, inspiring! I highly recommend this book for young people - however - I also recommend it for any age group that wants to live life to the fullest for God!

This is a must read for all high school and young adults going through transition. Paige addresses God's purpose in everyone's life and even has great "Action Challenges" at the end of each chapter to help the reader take what they read to the next level. This would be a great book to give to recent high school grads as they enter into their college and "adult" life. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
