    Wonderful

Wonderful love story. The ups and downs of a relatioship, it's beginnings when both agree to a marriage of convenience.
The storyline had its twists and turns, Connor had a depth of character that was easily understood, knowing his background. A chance meeting in Vegas starts it all and the ensuing story is one that you cant put down til it's complete. Highly recommend.

Waking Up Married by Mira Lyn Kelly
Megan Scott is a woman with a plan. No more relationships. No more hurt. She was taking her life and moving forward. She wanted a child and would raise it on her own, once she decided on how to get said child. Who knew that going to Vegas for her cousins wedding and having a few too many drinks would end up with her plans all askew?

Connor Reed was a man who also had his plans. Find a woman who didn’t want a fairytale life or a love relationship but just happy being a family that liked each other. He didn’t plan for it to come to be while in Vegas but he wasn’t a man to turn his back on opportunity either.

Plans don’t always turn out like you want though. This partnership could only work if they could keep emotions out of the way. And I know there were plenty of emotions because they jumped right out of the book. This was definitely a book that the Kleenex needed to be close at hand, at least for this reader. I really enjoyed this story.

Just okay. I wavered between 2 and 3 stars, but in the end I never really warmed up to Connor (who my brain refuses to equate with the guy on the cover--that just isn't him, I'm sorry) and I still am not sure I buy into his redemption at the end, so...2. Furthermore, I wanted more "fun" and "flirty" as promised by the KISS line, and an opening scene in which the heroine is puking in a hotel toilet, in the midst of a prolonged bout of puking?--yeah, not so fun. Or flirty. It got better in parts, but then worse in other parts, leaving me with an ambivalent feeling toward the book as a whole. This was my first book by this author and the first I've read in Harlequin's new line; I'm definitely going to give both a second chance in the hopes that this one was just a one-off.

Not a good story. Many errors in it which is disappointing because I expect a lot more from Harlequin.
Initially, the first few chapters, had promise but it quickly went down hill and there was no recovering it. The side characters were extremely boring and in most cases there were nails down a chalkboard annoying. The intimacy between the male and female lead was lacking, and together they didn't make sense in the least. There was no saving them or the story.
Very disappointing, especially with all of the hype that Harlequin's hype on facebook about it.

    Readable and Pleasant

I enjoyed the storyline of the book. It doesn't seem to be an everyday occurrence that a Las Vegas marriage ends in actually attempting to sustain the marriage once the couple realized it is the result of a drunken lust fest. Then again, Connor wasn't completely hammered when he came up with the "brilliant" idea to make Megan his bride and give her the life she wanted without the complications of love. I appreciated the presentation of Megan's internal conflict: on the one hand she does not want to subject herself to the emotional scarring that can come with falling in love; on the other she still believes in the fairy tale of happily ever after somewhere in her heart. I also appreciated the mental exploration that took place with Connor as he came to grips with how deeply rooted his interest in Megan was and how she affected him in a way no other woman had. I found the book to be short but sweet and compelling for what it was.
