Meet the Author

Robert Charles Waldron lives with his son, two dogs and two cats, in a small riverside village near
Johannesburg, and on a game farm in the Waterberg mountains of South
Africa.
His is an internationally acclaimed film maker and scriptwriter, and has produced natural history and social documentaries that have been broadcast worldwide, in several languages.

In 1989, while exploring the western Kalahari, he encountered a small group of Bushmen
(this group prefers being called Bushmen) and became friends.

Over the past twenty years, he has visited them for extended periods of time, and has been privileged to be invited to hunt and gather with them.

It is from their way of life and grace, that the inspiration for this novel , though a work of fiction,has sprung.
Walk in the Cool is his first novel.
