    I Also Recommend:

    I love Simon R. Green's works.

Simon R. Green's Nightside Series is much like Jim Butcher's Dresden Files (and actually ties into very vaguely, for those paying attention). One of the things I think I like the most is the fact that Simon R. Green is not only original, but ties his works together, not just with other authors. For example, he mentions a place called the Street of Gods in every novel in The Nightside, but he also has it in the Hawk and Fisher Novels. He is also very creative. He takes ideas from myth, religion, and fairy tales and takes them in completely new directions. An example would be the Judas Cup. It's the cup that Judas drank from at the last supper and has the power to corrupt absolutely. His books may be a bit on the short side, but you never feel like you are on the short end of the deal while reading any of them. This book has something for every fantasy fan, from giant insects from the future, to an all-out angel war, to a girl whose syren song cause people to commit suicide. It's definetly worth picking up, and I wish they would release the fourth through sixth books like this too.
