This book had me from page one! The characters and plot are well developed and sucked me into their world. Gage is strong, in charge, and one alpha male. Elena is fierce, funny, and stubborn. The banter between these two had me laughing out loud and on the edge of my seat for Elena to catch up to Gage's intentions. Once he makes up his mind that they are going to be together there is nothing left to do but get his mate on board with his plans. I love Gage and his reasoning in letting Elena go before was so swoonworthy. He's a total alpha badass and Elena is one strong Amazon. I loved the dynamic of her having a human life span and being mated to an immortal. It was a truly unique storyline and one I would recommend to all my friends. This is a MUST read right now!!!!!

    LOVED IT!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed this book even though I found the male character to be a jerkwad at the beginning of it. The banter between siblings kept me thoroughly entertained. Well worth the read.

    Better in order

Great story! Funny and strong characters.
This is the second in the series, it works by itself, but I think it is much better to have read the first one before this.
Big strong kitty has to face the fact that his mate is, gasp, a HUMAN!
Now just waiting for the next two stories... Yes, I know that the stories come out one at a time, but they gave us an idea what is coming and now I want the next two!

I cannot even tell you how long I have waited for this book to b

I cannot even tell you how long I have waited for this book to be released.  Jessie Lane did not disappoint.   From the very first page I was hooked.  I stayed up late, I read all day, I could not put this amazing book down.   The immediate attraction between Gage and Elena was apparent.  When they were separated, towards the beginning of their story, I was so upset.  The fact that they were mates, meant to be together for the rest of their lives meant that they should be back together, and soon!

The details shared in this book were perfect.   There was enough back history that if a reader just picked up this book, without reading the first one, they would be able to enjoy and follow along easily.  But on that comment, I have to say you should read Big Bad Bite first.  The fact that it ended without finishing the story, leaves me anxious for book three.

Elena is awesome.  She had the balls to stand up to the Alpha Gage, but was understanding and open enough to love him and realize that he was the one meant for her.    She was quirky, especially about that dang spider (which I loved, but totally understand her fear).   She was smart.  Not only military smart, but she understood the lifestyle that he was forced to be and the world he had to live in.

There was hot and steamy, smooth and sexy, and tough and rumble.  Every page of this book was absolutely perfect.   Once again Jessie Lane did not disappoint.    They gave me everything I was hoping for and more, now to get them moving on the next book in this series.  I need more!

In the interest of full disclosure, I did have the opportunity to beta read this book before publication. That being said, I thoroughly enjoyed my read of WOTSS.

The chemistry between Gage and Elena is obvious from the get go. We get a glimpse of their history, then jump forward to today. They have a run in because of what Elena now does for work and something that happened with Gage's sister, Lulu.

Elena is awesome. She is a kick ass woman from a big family of kick ass women. Gage is, well ... a tiger. So he is used to being pretty much the biggest and baddest thing in the room. So it is hilarious when she puts him in his place. And the things he did to prove his love for her were a bit extreme, but it fit his personality to a T!

Overall, Walk on the Striped Side is significantly better than Big Bad Bite, and this series is building to be a go to for PNR fans!

I read a preview of a book called Big Bad Bite just by chance about a month ago, it intrigued me so I one clicked. I really enjoyed it and I loved Adam and Jenna but will confess when Gage and Alec came onto the scene I wanted Jenna to be with one of them – what can I say, I’m a sucker for tiger shifters who are tall , built and hawt!

‘Walk On The Striped Side’ is Gage and Elena’s story ~ it’s well written & full of humour and I laughed out loud many times no matter where I was (cue the strange looks in my direction!!! )

Jessie Lane gives us a funny hot alpha male, a sassy strong slightly psychotic heroine and a back-up cast of characters that are phenomenal. Who couldn’t love Chloe and her addictions ~ hey, we’d all fight for our Jimmy Choos!!! ~ man-whore Alec whose hotness factor is just growing and growing, Babushka with her complete annihilation of the english language (batter of baby made me howl) and the spider, I have no words for that poor spider.

Throw in flame throwers, guns, catnip and toys and you have a really funny book with every ingredient you need for a few hours of total easy enjoyment. I am looking forward to the next book ‘The Demon Who Loved Me’ and i just know there will be sparks a-flying between Chloe and Kent………….
