Meet the Author

Kristen Ashley grew up in Brownsburg, Indiana, and has lived in Denver, Colorado, and the West Country of England. Thus she has been blessed to have friends and family around the globe. Her posse is loopy (to say the least) but loopy is good when you want to write.

Kristen was raised in a house with a large and multigenerational family. They lived on a very small farm in a small town in the heartland, and Kristen grew up listening to the strains of Glenn Miller, The Everly Brothers, REO Speedwagon, and Whitesnake.

Needless to say, growing up in a house full of music and love was a good way to grow up.

And as she keeps growing up, it keeps getting better.

I want more. I know I truly live a book when I want to read more, the moment I finish the book. That is how I feel about Walk Through Fire, by Kristen Ashley. Logan "High" and Mille is another amazing book in the Chaos Series. I did not want to put it down, and now that I'm done... I so wish I could read more. I already miss Logan and Millie, and the entire Chaos MC and their Old Ladies. So, I Want More, Please! I suggest you start with the Dream Man Series, then after Motorcycle Man, move on to the Chaos Series. Of course, I love most of Kristen Ashley's books, especially her Rock Chick's Series. So, get started , you're in for a great ride with Walk Through Fire, and the Chaos Series!

I loved Millie and High/Logan! They are definitely a second chance romance that rocks! After twenty years and a chance encounter at the Chipotle, Millie and Logan reunite with sparks ablazing! Millie rediscovers her inner "old lady" and makes High laugh again! Loved this new 5 star read by Kristen Ashley!

This is one of my favorite series, and this addition definitely did not disappoint. Full length novel with wonderful background characters, awesome dialog and an emotional and compelling story. Recommend reading in order. My only issue is the length of time between releases. I hope we don't have to wait as long for the next one.

Kristen Ashley has written another winner with Walk Through Fire. Even though Motorcycle Man (Tack and Tyra's story) is my absolute favorite Chaos book, Walk Through Fire (High and Millie's story) is a close second. I was so invested in getting to their HEA that I read all 400 plus pages in one rainy afternoon. Thanks Ms. Ashley for a wonderful series that is full of romance, good looking bada**es, intrigue, and all with stories that make the reader feel as if they are part of the Chaos family!

This series just keeps getting better and better!! Motorcycle Man (in the Dream Man series, but actually the first Chaos novel) was recommended by fans of Joanna Whylde's Reapers series. Since then, I've read them all, but Walk Through Fire is my favorite. I cried a LOT while reading Millie and High's story. At one point, Millie is crying while watching Downton Abbey and High asks her how she can cry over characters who never even existed. She tells him it's the hallmark of a great writer to make people feel that deeply. Kristen Ashley is a great writer and I felt this story deeply.

Millie Cross hasn't really been living her life these past twenty years. Millie hears a voice from her past that she's never forgotten. Logan "High" Judd is Chaos MC through and through but his world was shattered twenty years ago by Millie Cross. Millie needs to resolve her feelings for Logan once and for all unsure of his reaction will be. Logan finding Millie where she's not suppose to be makes him angry and wanting vengeance. What really tore Millie and Logan apart? Can the damage be repaired? Who walked through fire? Find out in Walk Through Fire. I'm rarely disappointed in reading KA book. The themes running through this book struck home more often than not. I'd walk through fire for my relationship with my husband any day or any time it's asked of me. Definitely looking forward to the next book in this series.

http://www.cocktailsandbooks.com I was given an advanced copy of this book to write an honest review for Netgalley and Cocktails and Books. No one writes romance like Kristen Ashley. In this story, she takes a rough around the edges motorcycle guy and makes him a romantic, likable hero. This is a beautiful, emotional love story about a second chance at love. Millie and Logan first meet when they are in their early twenties and immediately fall in love. However, after three years together, Millie breaks up with Logan. She shatters both of their hearts and neither one of them is able to recover. Our story begins twenty years later, when Millie decides to talk to Logan and finally give her reasons for breaking up with him. Although the story takes place in the present, there are flashbacks to the past so we understand what happens in Logan and Millie’s past. Logan is a member of the Chaos motorcycle club and I fell in love with him. On the outside he is a tough, hard, alpha male but he can also be sensitive, warm, loving, loyal and protective. What you see is what you get with Logan and he never holds back, he lets you know what is on his mind. He is not afraid to show his feelings and once he meets Millie, she is the only one for him. In the beginning I wasn’t sure I liked Millie. She seems weak, but as the story progresses, I was able to understand just how strong she is and how much she loves Logan. Millie is not you typical biker babe; she is educated and has class and style. I love how the women are portrayed in this story. They are strong and confident and they can also be zany, fun and feisty. There are strong bonds between all the women and they are always loyal to their Chaos men. To be honest, the Chaos series is not my favorite series by Kristen Ashley. I still prefer her older stuff, but I love anything KA writes and I enjoyed this book tremendously. I love second chance romances and stories about mature adults. It was also fun seeing some of the characters from previous books included in this story. My heart broke for Logan and Millie because they love each other so much and it takes twenty years for them to resolve their problems. I found myself laughing, crying and enjoying the suspense. KA is one of my favorite authors; I love her voice, the dialogue between the characters and all the steamy love scenes.

AudioBook Review: Stars: Overall: 5 Narration: 5 Story: 5 The first I have read from this author, Kristen Ashley’s titles have been on my “want’ list for quite a while now, although time constraints often kept me away. In Walk Through Fire, I was given an opportunity to review the audio version, and jumped at the chance. Who could resist a MC second chance romance with a 40-something hero and heroine, and a compelling set of circumstances that tore them apart years ago? Years ago, Millie and High (also called Low) were an item, a true wild boy/girl combo who really had a bond and a love that seemed unbreakable. But, tragedy and Millie’s realization that High needed someone different, someone ‘more’ than she thought herself capable of being had her walking away, leaving a crew of angry bikers and a devastated man. Pulling the shards of his life, High went on with his life in a daze, married and now divorced from a woman he never truly loved, he’s now focused only on his children and the club. He’s never quite forgotten Millie, or the anger at the betrayal from her leaving. But now, Millie is back: reserved, hated by the club, and something about her is different. She’s taken the years to ‘get over’ her feelings for High, but no one ever measured up, and she knows she had good reasons. He just may be available, if she can ever get past the angry shell…. The first half of this book is an emotional rollercoaster: Millie tells her story, we see their relationship and how vital and strong it was in flashback, and some of the circumstances that lead to her leaving are explored. Yet questions remain, even as the flame burns. There is a solid sense of urgency on both Millie and High’s parts: it is as if they know they need to sort the truth out from all the hurt feelings and anger, and find a solution: together or apart. Soon we move into the sweeter part of the story: full of steam and heart, and the interactions between the couple that show just how well matched they are. Despite the difficulties of blended family, a particularly well-drawn 10 year old, an ex-wife and the reluctance on part of the men of Chaos to forgive and accept Millie as she is, the story settles some as the relationship between the two is explored and secondary characters and a plot line move into the forefront. Narration for this story is provided by Kate Russell, who managed to move through multiple characters, times and dialog while remaining consistent and clear. Each character has a voice, a tone and delivery of words that is ‘theirs’, and those particular details bring a sense of the character, their emotional state and attitude of the moment are clear to the listener. With the repeated POV switches, flashbacks and secondary characters popping in and out, Russell manages to help listeners know who is speaking /presenting the story simply by voice. My introduction to the Chaos world and Ashley’s work was wonderful. A long, complex and emotional story line twenty years in the making is both engaging and engrossing bringing the world and the characters into my head and heart. I received an AudioBook copy of the title from Hachette Audio for purpose of honest review. I was not compensated for this review: all conclusions are my own responsibility.

When I get ready to read one of her books, I think - this can not possibly be as good as the last one - and it always is. I was not sure about him at first, as they had some issues to solve from the past, and I thought he was a HUGE jerk. However, now he is right up at the top of my favorites. Although Tack is by far my favorite, followed by Hop, High is right up there. I have read several MC book series, but in my opinion, you can not top Chaos. While they are bikers to the core, they all have a sweet side and once they have a woman, they really treat her good. Thank you, Kristen, for another chapter of Chaos. I took this opportunity to go back and re-read the series, and of course, I wish there was another one on the horizon.....sooner rather than later.

Loved, Loved, LOVED this book!!! High and Millie is such a beautiful story of what someone sacrifice for who they truly love...they will Walk Through Fire. I was not ready for this book or this series to end. The Chaos MC and their old ladies are so captivating; you get drawn into their story, into their lives and fall in love with them.

This was an absolute GEM of a book. It was one of the most emotional books I have read. It was tragic yet wonderful. Millie gave up everything so the love of her life could have it all. Sadly she didn't include him in that decision so they both suffered for years. Finally coming together after twenty years High finds out the real reason for losing her and is determined that the rest of Millie's life will be wonderful. They have a hard road to travel but in the end he gives her everything she never thought she would have. Awesome and definitely 5 stars.
