I have read A Walk in the Woods and On the Beaten Path and Walkin' on the Happy Side of Misery is the best one of the 3. Once you get used to the voice inside his head as another character of the book it really takes off. Here is someone who actually finishes the trail. I loved the end when he goes on to tell you what has become of his thru-hiking buddies after completing the trail.
