Meet the Author

Kev Reynolds is a freelance writer, photojournalist and lecturer. A prolific compiler of guidebooks, his first title for Cicerone Press appeared in 1978; he has since produced 27 titles for Cicerone, with others being researched. A member of the Outdoor Writers' Guild, the Alpine Club and Austrian Alpine Club, his passion for mountains and the countryside remains undiminished, and he regularly travels throughout Britain to share that enthusiasm through his lectures.

    Lying hidden in the grass is a strange twoleg object. A mouse scurries past it, and the hunter that was chasing it stumbles over it. "What in the world is this thing?" She wonders. The mouse now forgotton, she picks it up and starts dragging it towards camp.

    Elder's den

    Next to the huge evergreen there is a thicket of grass, its tops end at about 5 tail lengths high. Push through the grass and there, right in the middle is trampled grass, grass that has been pushed down by generations of Echoclan's warriors, to let the most wisest of the clan live their last moons in comfort. This is were Echoclans' Elders sleep, soft moss is covering the grass making underpaw as soft as a cloud. Echoclans apprentices will come to change the moss every sunrise. The kits will happily listen to the stories of clan life, or the legends, or maybe even about starclan...
