Walking Life's Road

As each one of us walks life's road, we must understand that each spiritual journey will be different. Our spiritual life can be as unique as our fingerprints. It is a mistake to judge another person's path against your own.

In order for us to become what we want to be, we must learn to accept ourselves at the very place in life where we are right now. We must learn to anchor ourselves in the present. We must be fully aware of each moment in each day and understand how it affects us. Just as the "Serenity Prayer" says: "God, grant me the Serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the Courage to change the things I can, and the Wisdom to know the difference."

The best way to cement your self-esteem is to reach out and help others. It helps you feel connected and makes your own problems and concerns less overwhelming. Learn to laugh at yourself and don't make everyone around you have to walk on eggshells. You must learn to create a safe, non-judgmental space for your friends and family around you.

Don't spend so much time worrying about things that have happened and dreading something unforeseen in your future. Everything is okay at this moment, so enjoy it, because it's yours.

About the Author

My name is Ken Bradford and freelance writing is a world I totally enjoy. I joined the ranks of freelancers over 12 years ago and at the time wasn't quite sure what areas of freelancing should get the most of my attention. Once I learned to get the focus off me, things started to progress smoothly. I have just co-written "Writing Better Web Content" with my friend and colleague, Dr. Deborah C. Bauers, LPC. We are both committed to writing better web content and want to offer ideas and advice for every freelance writer who has the same goal. Freelance writing is just like any other worthwhile venture. It takes a lot of time, patience and commitment to become good at it. I have become more relaxed and understand that to be a good writer one must be a good storyteller. So, now I enjoy helping businesses communicate and engage a target audience. As a small business owner, I realize the frustrations in keeping a business website or blog current and relevant. As a result, I have formed by own content writing service.
