Overview

The scriptures tell us of the incalculable value of even a moment's association with a true saint, and Sri Srimad Bhaktivedanta Narayana Gosvami Maharaja is exalted even among saints. With great sincerity, his disciples and followers thus availed themselves of any opportunity to accompany him on his morning walks and attend his morning darsanas. In those informal settings, they freely asked a variety of questions, his illuminating responses revealing a mere glimpse of the devotion radiating brilliantly within his heart. Sometimes personal, sometimes disciplinary, sometimes humorous and always loving, he would impart the deepest understandings of the scriptures for the benefit of all.

About the Author

Sri Srimad Bhaktivedanta Naraya?a Gosvami Maharaja took his divine birth in Tiwaripura, Bihar, India, in 1921. He met his gurudeva, Sri Srimad Bhakti Prajñana Kesava Gosvami Maharaja in February 1946, and dedicated his life to serving him. His gurudeva instructed him to translate the writings of prominent Vai??avas into Hindi. Taking this command to heart, he worked continuously throughout his life and published more than fifty sacred texts.

For years he traveled throughout India teaching bhakti, or loving devotion to God. Between 1996 and 2010, he circled the globe thirty times, touching the lives of thousands and clarifying the conception of pure bhakti, the sole means to realize our relationship with the Supreme Personality of Godhead, Sri K???a.
