Meet the Author

Neal Starkman holds a PhD in Social Psychology from the University of Connecticut and his company, Flashpoint Development, specializes in developing innovatiive health education. He has been a curriculum developer since the 1970's. Peter C. Scales, PhD is a Senior Fellow in the Office of the President at Search Institute. A developmental psychologist, he has been for more than 25 years recognized as one of the nation's leading authorities on children, youth, and families; adolescent health and sexuality education; effective schools; and healthy communities. Clay Roberts earned his M.A. from the University of Oregon in health education. Roberts has been a consultant and keynote presenter throughout the United States and abroad and has developed five national model school-based programs including Here's Looking at You 2000, a drug education program, and Natural Helpers, a peer helper program.
