Fascinating for seeing Paris from a different perspective, but not always practical.

I enjoyed poring over this book, before & during a recent trip to Paris, but it really isn't a practical guide for the casual tourist. It gives a sense of Paris' evolution, but can't always inform you of where you are, and doesn't give good walking maps. ...lots of fun, and interesting for background, though.
