Overview

These amazing images have been created with a new technique that comes the closest to achieving the ideal of anatomical representation - recreating visually, the exact forms of the body and all its parts. This collection is derived from the first, anatomically exact, three-dimensional, computer-generated reconstruction of a human body.

Unlike traditional anatomical illustration, which had to rely on idealization and exaggeration to present anatomy in an understandable way, the original versions of the images represented in these charts are three-dimensional in their digital form. The "virtual" body they represent can be turned, opened, even passed through by the viewer. Systems can be viewed in isolation, like the pieces of a jigsaw, and put back together again to show their relationship with other systems. Regions can be "dissected" progressively, by peeling away layers or even "seeing through" some tissues to reveal others underneath. The digital images allow you to view the specific subject of each chart in detail, while displaying a "ghost" image of the surrounding area if it helps to better understand positions and relationships.

    The Human Body TOTALLY Exposed

Shows all the major systems of the body, including reproductive, in clear & clinical manner. Describes purpose of systems. Names parts only, only occasional brief discussions of that parts do. Great as basis for a student science project. Cryptic medical names and frank photos suitable for middle school students and up. Highly recommended.

    Great education tool

My sons (9 and 10) are at the "BIRDS AND THE BEE'S" stage and
I thought about this book as a way to introduce them to
    MOMMY's and DADDY's anotomy............for a start.

This book has been great. NO nasty pics, and to the point.
    AND it was on sale..........
    smiles.

    Worth the money!

I bought this to refresh my memory about the Human body. When I unfolded the book and layed it across my floor it gave me a relaxed feeling. I was able to lay on the floor and learn! But then it suprised me because I did not fully read the cover of the book and soon relized that I could flip it over and there was a lot more information for me to absorb! It was a nice surprise and it really made me feel that I made a very good investment for such a nice low price!
