The movie was awesome, as is the soundtrack. Thomas Newman had a stroke of genius here. I especially loved WALL*e's theme, and I thought the excerpts from "My Fair Lady" were an interesting touch. You have to see the movie to appreciate that, as well as the next-to-last track titled "Down To Earth". The digi-pak helps it take up less space on my CD shelves. Just be VERY CAREFUL not to get it wet, as it is made of recycled paper (according to the liner notes).

The amazing soundtrack of WALL-E by Thomas Newman is great!
Combining elements from numerous different styles, all seamlessly integrated into the motion picture. The vocal songs are all well written and sung, and the orchestral tracks make breathtaking background music for driving, writing, ipod, and more!
All in all, the WALL-E Soundtrack is a hit!

This is a great buy if you enjoyed the movie. If you enjoy modern synthesisers mixed with dramatic theatrical music I'm sure you would enjoy this cd. As an added bonus the packaging reflects a message from the movie, which encourages people to be enviromentally concious of their impact on Earth. Also, One of the tracks titled "Down To Earth" performed by Peter Gabriel was nominated in the 2009 acadamy awards. I give this Wall-E audio CD a 5 star rating because I would have to admit to being a Disney fan, and admit to always finding joy in their musical and artistic talents. So, yes my rating is a bit biased, but I encourage you to go check it out and to see if you or a loved one would enjoy it as much as I do.

How does a lonely robot communicate with the audience? With music. And when Eve arrives from outer space things really sing. Thomas Newman pours out the emotion while staying true to mechanical world of the movie's stars. The song from Hello Dolly and La vie en rose with Louis Armstrong are an extra treat.
