I normally steer clear of Viking romance stories, but I decided to give this one a chance based on the summary. I was pleasantly not only by how much I enjoyed the story, but also by its length (nearly one hundred pages). Fianna and Henrik are both well-developed characters with strong personalities and strong passions; they fit well together. Since the story is set in the transitional period in England when both indigenous polytheism and Christianity were in play, "Walpurgis Night" will probably appeal to Heathen readers, too.
Recommended to anyone looking for a good sensual historical romance. -- lyradora
