I simply adore Eugenia Riley's time travel romances. This woman has a way with words when it comes to creating amazing worlds of the past. Waltz in Time was another home run from the author and I was immediately hooked from page one. Everything from the language to the descriptions were spot on. You'll never have to worry about this author not showing you enough. If you love time travel romance, read this! Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback. Very entertaining read. Liked the very much. Yes, he's indulgent with his children, but bear in mind this is a man who did not truly love his first wife, the mother of the children, so he feels guilt (and this can often be how it works out in real life), plus he loves the children and their pranks are harmless enough and they act like real children act. Clever twist with the heroine believing she's helping the governess/housekeeper/relative when, in fact, she's got it all wrong. And the minister's off-her-rocker mother provided some real laughs. Very imaginative to have a character water the flowers on someone's hat. Cracked me up. Felt all the characters were well defined and differentiated, including the minor character of the minister's mother, who was deftly drawn with little exposition but by her revelatory actions. Was this review helpful? Though the main female character was frustrating at times this book had many heart warming moments. There were even a few tears, written so well that it was easy to connect with the characters. Was this review helpful? Yes NoThank you for your feedback.
