After defeating Valentine, Hex thought her life might finally get back to normal -- whatever that means. Finally together with the boy she loves, Hex is done with the world of witches, demons and things that go bump in the night.

Too bad that world isn't done with her.

Valentine is gone, but not forgotten. She hears his voice inside her mind and see his face when she closes her eyes. Everyone tells her it's just bad memories, but Hex knows it's so much more. The demon wants to get back into the human world and he's planning to use her to do it.

Hex soon discovers that Valentine wasn't her only enemy. It's going to take more than luck to save the people she loves this time.

Meet the Author

Ashley Girardi is 25 years old and plans to stay that way for the better part of the next decade. She's dabbled in a number of professions, from the service industry to military intelligence. While her current goals include publication, that's really just a circuitous route to world domination.

Ashley's influences include Friedrich Nietzsche, Kurt Vonnegut and Lady Gaga. Her favorite color is fluorescent beige and her favorite quote is from Robert A. Heinlein:

"Writing is not necessarily something to be ashamed of, but do it in private and wash your hands afterwards."

    The Story-Prologue.

This is a Story. A Story of a mystical land. A Story of a girl who finds herself in this land. A Story of the friends and enemies she meets there. A Story of an adventure.
That is the way stories should be. Simple, and yet complex. (If I'm making no sense, then good.)
And, like all good stories, it begins with a simple phrase. A magical phrase.
    "Once Upon a Time..."
That's it. The book is open. There's no stopping.
    Enjoy.

Karma? There is only one thing I can say to you. Learn from others' mistakes. You can't live long enough to make them all yourself.

Yeah karma. I mean, you made a promise to never leave me behind. And i made a promise to always go with you and support you. I can hang with cougar and wander with you at the same time. It hurt my feelings that you just assumed i had no time for you and cut me out of your plans.
