Overview

Ridiculous, obscene, infectious, and obnoxious, 3OH!3's Want is the electro-trash revolution gone horribly wrong, creating a brand-new genre to dread: fratcore hip-hop. If there's any irony to tracks like "I'm Not Your Boyfriend Baby" (sounds like a Lil Jon and Calvin Harris car crash) or "Star Struckk" (starts all chiptunes then goes ringtone rap before turning disco), it's buried so deep it really doesn't matter anymore. It's as if this duo from Boulder, CO, stole all the surface bits of Andrew W.K., Princess Superstar, plus Lady GaGa and created an album that can only be discussed in terms of "Awesome!" or "Sucks!" If you like fat beats lifted from old-school hip-hop, Scott Storch, and Chromeo with slim, lean hooks that won't be leaving the head anytime soon, it's awesome. If you don't care for thin ideas, sophomoric humor, or Warped Tour attitude, it sucks. Spank Rock made this kind of nu-booty music with much more finesse. Still, 3OH!3's Want has enough hooks and laugh-out-loud filth that it's decent, decided junk and good enough for bumpin' uglies on the dancefloor. [Want was also made available in a clean version with all explicit material removed.]

I first heard 'Don't Trust Me' on some one's Call Music (Idrk what's called. that music that plays when you call someone and your waiting for them to answer.) and i instantly fell in love with them, and i don't usually like this kind of music. I never knew who sung the song untell my BFF bought me their cd for christmas, on a hunch that i would like them. Their music just makes you want to sing and dance along with them. Their Lyrics are Funny and emotional at the same time. Most people i have interduced them to have loved them. My favorites are I'm Not Your Boyfriend, Chokechain, Rich Man, and I Can't Do This Alone.

Upbeat, fun, and in your face. This is what this CD is all about. I first heard the song "Don't Trust Me" on the iPhone application Tap Tap Revolution and I knew I had to buy this CD. As soon as I listened to the full album, I was in LOVE! The lyrics are catchy, the music is hot, and the packaging was flawless. They mix hip-hop, pop, and alternative all together. You are sure to find a song you like, as there is a ton of variety. I would have to say that my favorite song is "STARSTRUKK". This is my favorite song because I can relate. I recommend this album to EVERYONE who is open for something new. I enjoy thistening to this CD because there is not a single track that I does not interest me. There is a unique quality to every song. This CD is great to listen to when you are hanging out at home, doing your household chores, or just driving around town. All in all, this CD is great!

I love 3OH!3. Ever since I first heard Don't Trust Me, I've been hooked. While Don't Trust Me is still my favorite song on the album, there are other good songs on the album, such as Still Around. They are also amazing live. I wasn't expecting them to be that great live, but they blew me away. I just love them and this album.
