He's a vampire from the big city . . .
Phineas McKinney thought New York City was tough, until he was attacked by Malcontents—evil vampires who consider mortals to be snacks. Saved by the good vampires, Phin swore to devote his now undead life to stopping the Malcontents. He's got his job cut out for him when word comes that their enemy may be hiding in Wyoming. What does a city boy like him know about horses and campfires? Good thing he's got Brynley Jones with him . . . if only she didn't hate every vampire on earth.
She's a werewolf princess . . .
Bryn believes vampires are seductive and charming, and that makes them dangerous. So she's more than a little annoyed about teaming up with Phin, even if he is the only bloodsucker able to make her inner wolf purr. But as they hunt down the new leader of the Malcontents, danger threatens . . . and Phineas and Brynley discover a passion that will rock the foundation of their supernatural world.
Loved it. Great book, great story. I was very entertained.

It is evident you have not read the rest of the series. If you had, you wouldn't give the book only 4 stars. This is a series in which you have to read the whole series to fully appreciate its brilliance. Another such series is Sherrilyn Kenyon's The Dark Hunters for anyone who appreciates that kind of thing

This was one charcter in this series I was waiting for. Humans,
angels and now we will see what happens to a vamp bitten by a werewolf. The Love Doctor is my hero. Thanks Kerrelyn, can't wait for the next. Hope it's Howard's turn.

When i first started reading this book, i thought it was kind of silly and kind of cheesy. I imagine Phins brother as some reject from Jersey Shore. The vampire tv network was also kind of silly along with the vamp tv shows. I thought they were pointless to add and keep talking about the real vampire housewives.
The book does get alot better as you go along and you end up getting sucked into the whole story. The plot was pretty good as well as the background of the characters and their description. Although bringing in the shifters like the were-bear and the were-panther were pointless and didn't need to be in the story. The author could have made them either wolves or vamps.
The ending was pretty good and the author can take the next book into alot of different paths.
Even though i say some of the book was silly, it was very fun to read and i still could not put the book down and the author did keep my attention and wanting me to keep reading. I will definantly get the next book in the series.

A MUST READ!
If it's possible she gets better with each installment of this series! This was by far may favorite! I have been dying to hear about Dr. Phang's take down! And, it did not disappoint! And getting to know more about Brynley was great! I couldn't put it down! And, when I had to all I could think about was getting back to it. It had me crying, laughing... oohing & ahhing!
The only terrible thing is I have to wait till November for the next one =(.
Also I pre-ordered this book & I still have a grey cover instead of the yummy one they show ...
