Publishers Weekly

This single-volume trilogy of connected short stories will be a quick read for shojo fans. Armeria is a girl with a powerful singing voice; while performing for a wealthy family, she falls in love with the handsome Luce, only to see him captured by pirates a short time later. Eight years pass, and she comes across the ship that took her love and manages to sneak aboard disguised as a boy. It's not long before she's outed, though, and soon discovers why Captain Skulls, the handsome pirate with the heart of gold, looks so familiar. To call Skulls's identity a twist or a surprise is being overly kind, but this is a book that is more about emotion and the exploration of longing than about any real plot emphasis. The third chapter, however, does revolve around an interesting story idea, a piece of music that appears to be cursed. Throwaway running commentaries from the author ("I did study the various historical backgrounds, but I've ignored them to make things convenient") are a bit of a distraction, but romantic-minded readers won't be bothered by them, and instead will enjoy her lush detailed art. This is one of the most beautiful books I've ever read. The intense plot is just as stunning as Matsuri Hino's incredible art. Anyone who reads it will have wished it wasn't just one book but you shouldn't critizize it for that. I certainly didn't! Merely one frame featuring an exposed Armeria earns Wanted it's "Older Teen" rating but unless your a stuborn stickler you will be able to get over it. I'm a sucker for a fluttery-heart romance and this certainly does the job. Not to say that this book was without it's fare share of action! Sword fighting, pistols, and cannon fire are plentiful in this incredible addition to Matsuri Hino's ever growing list of successful manga.

Single-manga stories have always been among my favorites - not to say that longer ones can't be just as good, just that a person can become attached even after a short time when it comes to these one-shots. The story is kind of jumpy and seems to lose focus at times, but any fan of Matsuri Hino will thuroughly enjoy her art and story styles.

What do you get when you add a dash of lovestruck girl, the high seas, one dashing pirate, and a crossdressing singer? Wanted, that's what. This charming three part story wins you over with beautifully drawn art and quirky storytelling. Matsuri Hino proves in this that yes, pirates are still awesome, in addition to at bing at times leacherous and greedy. Not only that, the female lead is a strong girl who actively pursues her dream. All in all, a fun, quick read.

This is an excellent manga by popular mangaka Hino Matsuri. An exiting tale of romance, action, and adventure, WANTED delivers all the goods of a series without the time demand. I would highly recommend this to any manga fan. Hopefully, Hino-sensei will produce a second installment of this highly entertaining manga!

Unfortunatly this is the only book of this kind. The author might make a series and I seriously am crossing my fingers hoping she does. A tale of a girl, whos best-friend was captured by pirates to be held for ransom. She sets out to descover the ship and find the captain to hopefully find her friend... If he still lives...

Wanted is about a girl Armeria who is looking for her first love luce, who was kidnapped by the pirate Skulls. Armeria dresses as a boy to work on the pirate ship 8 years later. She is found out but still stays on the ship looking for luce and goes on adventures with Skulls. The story is very short, and didnt fell like it was over. there was no real ending. maybe if there was more volumes it would have been better. there is only 3 chapters and another short story after wanted.

This manga is extremely cute. The relationship between the two main characters are funny and interesting, you'd just want more. Especially since the girl had went through all odds just to find her first love. The storyline is great, and the artwork is superb! After reading this story you just can't help but reread again and again, it's so addicting. I hope that Matsuri Hino can make a sequal when she's done with Vampire Knight.

OMG!! I highly recommend this manga. I found out about it through the "Newtype USA Magazine", and I knew right away that this manga would be incredible for those who may know about "Meru Peri" or something. It has a nice kick off in the beginning and it's pretty funny and touching with the main character's relationship to Skullz. Skullz is incredible!!

A short little manga series that had a lot of potential but unfortunately got shelved due to her Vampire Knight series going on for 19 volumes (but that is amazing as well!). The story starts out about a girl who lost her love to a pirate and goes on to find the pirate who kidnapped her love. She finds out that the pirate captain is actually her love and she stays on the ship to be with him. They also run into problems with the navy, of course, and they have to stay out of trouble. The art, as always, is tremendously beautiful. I love Matsuri Hino's art in all of her work, and this story does not disappoint. I really like the pictures in between chapters as she puts in so detail to what she puts in each drawing. Not only is the drawing beautiful, but the colors are great as well. For example: The characters are pretty interesting, I just wished that Luce wouldn't treat Arto like a little girl, but it is understandable as she is on a boat with a bunch of pirates. As I said, it ends short and there should be more to the story. If you love pirates though, this is a great short and will make you smile. Also, there is a short story at the end called Spring Cherry Blossoms that is also cute and heartwarming. If you love Vampire Knight, definitely check this out. I give this manga a 5/5 as it wasn't the story's fault that it got cancelled or not finished as she had prior obligations. It's beautiful, cute, and sweet and I never wanted to put the manga down.

You got pirates and an interesting story. Though its kind of short but still liked but at the same time thought it was okay. Also the art style was pretty good. Please draw more pirates, the hairstyles are drawn really well. And love the expressions.

This book is really good. Wanted is about a girl nmaed Armelia, who is an orphan girl who sings for work. One day, she is invited to sing at a noble castle. But after singing many songs her voice begins to grow weak, when a rich nobleforces her to sing a boy, Luce, rescues her from her torment and shows her true happiness, and of coarse she falls in love with him. Unfortunately, Luce is kidnapped by the notorious pirate, Scar, who carie the tatoo of a grim reaper. Armelia swore to herself that one day she would rescue Luce. So she dresses as a boy and calls herself Alto and joins Scar's Pirate ship. But the truth is not what she thought it was...
