Meet the Author

Artist C. Arthur was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland where she currently resides with her husband and three children. An active imagination and a love for reading encouraged her to begin writing in high school and she hasn't stopped since. Working in the legal field for almost thirteen years now she's seen lots of horrific things and longs for the safe haven reading a romance novel brings. Her debut novel Object of His Desire was written when a picture of an Italian villa sparked the idea of an African-American/Italian hero. Determined to bring a new edge to romance, she continues to develop intriguing plots, sensual love scenes, racy characters and fresh dialogue-thus keeping the readers on their toes! During the course of her writing career Artist has won the YOUnity Guild's Best New Drama and Romance Author Award in 2005/06; been nominated 3 years straight for EMMA Awards, with the fourth time being a charm she took home the 2007 EMMA Award for Favorite Romantic Suspense; and has also received her first Romantic Times Reviewers' Choice Award Nomination for Best African American Romance. Artist loves to hear from her readers and can be reached via email at acarthur22@yahoo.com

    HOT & SPICY Read

'Wanting You' is another suspenseful erotically-charged treat by Mrs. Arthur. This book is definitely NOT for the shy, or sexually inhibited. The main characters, Jason and Celise scorch the pages of this novel with their HOT & STEAMY love scenes. That being said the story still has a decent plot. I was caught up in Jason and Celise's instant attraction and enjoyed the fact that the author didn't draw out the undeniable desire between this couple. I thoroughly enjoyed the rapidly budding relationship and even though it happened EXTREMELY fast, I thought they complimented each other completely. Mrs. Arthur will keep you turning the pages with a storyline full of romance, mystery, sabotage and a very colorful and memorable cast of characters, main and secondary. I would have to agree with the other reviewers that this is quite a quick THRILLING read, but definitely VERY explicit.

Wanting You (Parts One and Two) by A.C. Arthur is a great tale that is enlightening, encouraging and freeing. I will review these two together as individually they are incomplete. This is the journey of Celise Markam and Jason Carrington.

Celise Markam and Jason Carrington met during a period of "spreading their wings" for each of them and amid their families disapproval of their chosen paths.  Jason is heading and revamping one of the most prestigious hotels in Monterrey.  He is fraught with disapproval and doubt from some board member and even sabotage.  Celise is branching out on her own to establish her dream of being a restaurateur.  Their meeting is instantaneous combustion and their journey is full of mystery, intrigue and happenstances.  We get to see if they come through all this together.

    Great but short

This book was a great read but it was very short. Only 81 pages long.
