President Obama Has Declared War Against You

Have you worked hard and moved up in life? Did you sacrifice time and money to better yourself? Did you take risks in order to increase your career opportunities? If the answer is yes, then President Obama is sending you a message: you are what’s wrong with America.

In The War on Success , New York Times bestselling author Tommy Newberry argues that the Obama administration is not only attacking entrepreneurs and small business owners, it’s launched a fundamental assault on the very concept of success. By denigrating all the qualities that make success possible—self-reliance, ambition, hard work, the pursuit of excellence—the administration is setting the stage for Big Government to step in and “guarantee” everyone’s success through socialist-style redistribution. In this passionate book, Newberry explains:

How the Obama administration deliberately spreads envy, mediocrity, and a victim mentality among the American people How Obama’s policies violate the fundamental values held by America’s founders Why free markets could soon be a thing of the past Why capitalism is compatible with the Bible—and socialism isn’t How you can help yourself and your country and defeat the War on Success

Brash, direct, and unafraid, The War on Success tells you what’s at stake: nothing less than the survival of the American Dream.

    Disappointing

Newberry's arguments are flashy, but they lack the depth of other more thoughtful conservative authors. Further, he consistently pits his arguments solely against the most extreme and poorly thought-out liberal arguments. If you're entertained by the extreme and showy antics and rant of AM talk radio on the right (or the left), then you may enjoy Newberry's work. If you're looking for a thoughtful conservative argument addressing the current times, I think you'll find this work disappointing.
