A very useful account of what is really going on behind the headlines in relation to the ongoing `Middle East conflict' and the `War Against Terrorism'. Current events are explained and investigated in the light of Biblical prophecy and present a host of facts not seen on CNN, Fox News, Sky and the BBC. The future scenarios of both the aforementioned conflicts are explored in relation to Scripture and how they might affect us all. All in all, a thoroughly good read and a useful addition to anyone's library. We really owe it to ourselves to be aware of the circumstances and context of these events. The importance of which cannot be over emphasised. Books such as this show clearly that much of the Western media reports relating to the Israel-Palestinian conflict in line with their own world view. The media, in those instances, unfortunately betraying its purpose and, instead of objective reporting, attempts to create a frame of reference that portrays Israel as the aggressor and the Palestinians as the `innocent' victims. Hence the media shapes and distorts public opinion and influences it away from the true realities, creating news rather than reporting it. It is essential that through books such as this we can get at the real facts behind the crucial issues and not be swayed by propaganda and sensationalism. The possible consequences of a major escalation in these conflicts is frightening. We cannot allow ourselves to bury our heads in the sand.
This contains biased information, and a good part of it is merely an intellectual exercise in speculation, based on misinterpretation and misunderstanding of scriptures. In fact, it amounts to the work of a false prophet. The seeker of truth should look to other works that are more realistic and knowledgeable. For example, Real Prophecy Unveiled, by Joseph J. Adamson, provides a very realistic and credible view of prophecy that we can celebrate. It explains how and why the myths of a ¿second coming¿ and an ¿end of the world¿ were created and perpetuated. It fully explains how the ¿bridegroom-lamb¿ of prophecy is ¿our brother who has the testimony of Jesus.¿ Thus he is also the messenger for the Spirit of Truth that Jesus said would come, to ¿guide us unto all truth, show us things to come, and glorify the Christ (in heaven).¿ Another good book is The Isaiah Effect, by Gregg Braden. It demonstrates how prophecies of global catastrophe and suffering are either symbolic or may only represent future possibilities, rather than forecast impending doom. Moreover, it establishes that we have the power to determine our future, and avoid catastrophe, which is what Adamson also emphasizes. This is a time of contest between the forces of falsehood and the forces of truth, and the dark forces disguise themselves. As Paul wrote, they are ¿deceitful workers, transforming themselves into false apostles of Christ.¿ As Jesus said, they ¿pray for the ears of men, and follow the doctrines of men, but they are hypocrites.¿ Unfortunately, as Jesus predicted, 'they shall deceive many people.' So you should avoid them, and exercise great discernment in deciding who to believe. The sooner we choose correctly, the sooner God's New Kingdom will be established on the earth, which shall last forever, never to be destroyed. That's what real prophecy foretells.
