Blue dragon Kalec is sent to investigate a mysterious surge of magic; it could be the Sunwell, the pool of energy that exploded when the dark elf Dar'Khan tried to steal its powers for himself. Trapped in human form by a collar placed on him by the elf in battle, Kalec is befriended by a young girl named Anveena, who loses her parents and home in an attack aimed at the dragon. Anveena, who holds a key to the mystery of the Sunwell, is kidnapped by Dar'Khan; Kalec and his crew journey to recover her, in the process gaining the aid of the elf Lor'themar and his men. There is a massive showdown battle, with the requisite posturing and bravado banter, Dar'Khan being the worst offender—"My power shall spread beyond Azeroth, to realms merely whispered of! It will be glorious!" In its wake is an optimistic finale that leaves the drawbridge wide open for sequels to this trilogy. Kim's artwork is intricate and busy, virtually every page packed with detail. Action scenes are big and intense, often filling pages or entire spreads to make for a satisfying read. (Mar.)

    This is good.

    Interesting story. Definitely caught my attention from the first chapter! I would recommend it to people who are fans of Lord of the Rings and other fantasies, also great fun if you don't mind a little gore.

    Perfect for any Warcraft Fan!

    if you play World of Warcraft you'll love this manga. It takes place in the time period where World of Warcraft takes place (4 years after Warcraft 3: Reign of Chaos). Its a very good story but their taking a long time for number 2 to come out.

    One of the best manga out there

    This manga is awesome! The best part is the dragons! I strongly reccommend this to the dragon fans out there. I also enjoyed how the art was all done in shades of gray and black, never white like the other mangas out there. It was full of action and surprises, both for the characters and for the readers. All in all it was a great read and I am anxiously awaiting the second volume in this series. Can't wait! I wish they would say when it was coming out already. The action in this book is great and there's no nudity like there is in a lot of manga these days-Ew. I mean why do they need to include that? Especially when the manga is supposed to be for girls and boys. This book starts out with the main character (a dragon) being hunted by this angry dwarf guy who's against all dragons because of something that happened in the past. A beautiful maiden rescues him from the clutches of the dwarf and brings him home against the dragon's wishes. The dragon's in this book can assume the shape of a human (or elf), which totally rocks. After that the unlikely pair travel together and meet a strange elven man, out to find the sunwell, which the main dragon is also trying to find. The elf is kind of psychotic man, he is also kinda interesting. You will have to read this book to find out more.
