Overview

Warden of Time continues the story of time travel, romance, and adventure begun with Daughter of Time …

As both modern man and medieval king, David is committed to transforming medieval England into his own version of Avalon. Not everyone supports his ideals, however, and having offended the pope by welcoming Jews and heretics into England, David is summoned to Canterbury to explain himself.

But when information comes to light that reveals the accusations against him have less to do with religion than with power and wealth, David finds himself on familiar ground—and at the center of a conspiracy that stretches from Ireland to Italy. Facing excommunication, a fickle populace, and a rebellion even by his fellow time travelers, he must decide what his throne is worth, and what he’s willing to sacrifice to keep it.

Warden of Time is book eight in the After Cilmeri series.

With two historian parents, Sarah couldn't help but develop an interest in the past. She went on to get more than enough education herself (in anthropology) and began writing fiction when the stories in her head overflowed and demanded she let them out. I got hooked on this series of books by searching for free nook books. I was immediately hooked & bought the rest of the series. I hope there will be more to come.

Another great book in this terrific time traveling series! You can't help but to grow to love each of the characters and want to know more and more about their lives. Great reads...each and every one of them!

I have greatly enjoyed this series until now. It reads as if a new author has taken over. I loved the storyline until now. Just words filling space (what few pages there ever are). I did not enjoy the first person story telling nor the unintriging plot. This is a sad day that I write a review this low.

This is the 9th book in the After Cilmeri series and I've been eagerly awaiting it's release. It did not disappoint. This one stays in the 13th century, and the action moves fast. I was done before I knew it and can't wait for the next one. I'm glad I read them, and you will be too! Just in case someone finds one of the others first. It's best to read them in order: Daughter of Time (prequel currently FREE), Footsteps in Time, Winds of Time, Prince of Time, Crossroads in Time, Children of Time, Exiles in Time, and Castaways in Time . I hope Sarah writes this series for many years to come. It has so much potential to keep going. It's right up there with The Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon, and just as addictive. Enjoy!

I have been a big fan of this series up until the last book. It was with great trepidation that i reluctantly bought this latest installment in the after cilmera series. It was well worth it. It was just as well written as the first couple of books and a very good addition to the series. I would highly recommend reading.
