    A Good Book for Beginners

This book is filled with common-sense advice for people new to wargame design. It does not cover the techniques of simulation or operations research. It does cover the design criteria for a wargame. It is also filled with interesting stories of wargame designs the athor has been involved with. It is successful in presenting the steps of wargame design, and thus it is useful for a beginner. The historical/personal annectdotes are of more interest to the old-hand. It is a good book. The ePub version has a formatting issue that pushes the text of the numerous tables out of alignment.
